The NFE and TEVT programs are targeted for underprivileged and disadvantaged children between the ages of 15 and 18 who have passed at least class seven or its NFE equivalent – class ten in case of Draftsmanship Training.
Majority of these children come from ethnic minorities and economically deprived families. Most of them fall into one the following categories:
|Child laborers||Street children|
However, other interested individuals not in the target group can also benefit from TEVT programs on a subsidized fee-paying basis. Incorporation of these trainees has assisted STTS to assess the market relevancy of the training programs as well as provide opportunities for hundreds of enthusiastic individuals to be self-employed.
